Bountiful Blessings

Squash blooms...aren't they beautiful?

Our first cantaloupe.

Melon anyone?

Our pickings from Tuesday night and we weren't done.

Now where did that pepper go?

We're growing everything from corn to kids!!

Does this even look like the same garden?

Matthew 9:37 says "The harvest is truly plenteous, but the labourers are few". Of course, the Lord is referring to the workers for the cause of Christ but it speaks volumes to me through the application of caring for this garden. Lisa and I have spent time and sweat but the harvest is more than enough to feed our families 5 times over. I have commented to many that this garden is like a spiritual journey for me. To plant, nurture, nourish and the to cultivate.....oh how it parallels our walk with Christ. This has been especially great for time with the kids, they get sooooo excited about seeing what has grown and is ready for picking. They have even been known to help hoe from time to time. By the way, I have cucumbers coming out my ears so if you have a good pickle recipe please email me. God bless and take care until the next time.
